HELICOPTERSNZ has been actively involved
in the oil and mineral industries since 1966. Involvement
has been continuous since that year, with the company gaining experience
in all facets and phases of helicopter oil support services.
The Company has provided helicopter support for companies including
Esso, Shell BP Todd, Bocal, Hunt, Offshore Oil, Placid Oil, Tricentrol,
Petrocorp, N.Z.O.G., Amoco, Conoco UK, New Zealand Oil & Gas
and O.M.V.
In 1974 the Company provided helicopter support for Western Geophysical
while they undertook offshore seismic survey work around the continental
shelf of New Zealand. In the same year, support services were also
provided to the Government of Fiji to assist with a mineral exploration
programme on the main island. HELICOPTERSNZ has been active
in the field of onshore seismic support since 1980, both within
New Zealand and overseas.
